Poems at Weddings: Clinton-Mezvinsky Wedding

We all know that there are those certain celebrity weddings that are long awaited and the talk of the town from what the bride wore to what was served at the reception. But not many entertainment feeds talk about the romance and magical part of the weddings, the loving stares the couples exchange or the beautiful vows written. One of my favorite aspects are when poems are read. This past weekend, Chelsea Clinton married Marc Mezvinsky and the following poem was read.

The life that I have

The life that I have
Is all that I have
And the life that I have
Is yours

The love that I have
Of the life that I have
Is yours and yours and yours.

A sleep I shall have
A rest I shall have
Yet death will be but a pause
For the peace of my years
In the long green grass
Will be yours and yours and yours.

Leo Marks

I love this poem along with many others. Are you going to be using a poem at your wedding and if so, which one? One of our personal favorites is Elizabeth Barrett Browning's "How Do I Love Thee..."

Congratulations to Chelsea and Marc!
