Dora Fiesta Time!

We got to work on a Dora themed birthday party for one of the most a-Dora-ble little girls we have ever met!  The parents wanted to go with the fiesta theme of Dora which called for some festive flags and vibrant colors - the perfect ingredients for a party we say!

We initially started with the invitation that was designed with sections and has become a new trend in invitations to make partitions in the invite.  The invite card was enclosed in a beautiful matte pumpkin orange envelope and was labeled with personalized guest tags made by us.

We helped design the birthday banner name which was simplistic but colorful.

There were also personalized monograms made for cupcakes and desserts that featured Dora and Boots with toothpicks for easy placement.  In addition, we also made thank you tags for the party favors.

Dora is such a popular theme and we were so happy to finally get to work on one.

A Birthday Party on the Fast Lane

We know we have a lot of favorites when it comes to parties we have helped plan but we definitely love the decor that was put into this party.  It was a low-key, intimate party at a home and our clients still managed to make the party grand.  The party was a Disney Cars themed party and the lucky little boy was turning three.  The decor was simplistic yet made a grand impression.  Red, yellow and green balloons guided the guests through a hallway with a racing lane laid across the floor.

The party had different areas designated with personalized menus: (1) Drink station; (2) Vegan food station; (3) Main entrees station; (4) Ice Cream station.

Personalized stationary made by us helped to tie the theme together like the traffic ice cream cones, personalized monograms, Rusteze Ointment drinks, water bottle labels, "Riley" Cars logo sign, ice cream topping monograms, and birthday sign.

The Ice Cream Station was a hit and absolutely delish to look at and eat!

A hit with the guests were the photo booth stand which featured Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater's car cutout as the framing and cute props to take pictures with.  Love love love!   Photo booths have become such a hit at events in the recent years, and this shows how easy and fun it can be to make one yourself.

Last but not least, we cannot forget the invitation that set the mood for the party to begin with.  The invite card was designed personally for the birthday boy with Lightning McQueen and the Piston Cup as the foundation. It was enclosed in a booklet fold that featured Lightning McQueen's eyes on the front.  The invitation was then placed in a racing red envelope with personalized guest labels.

This party was extremely well planned and had a lot of fun and unique ideas.  This is one lucky birthday boy!  Happy Vroomin Birthday!

A Splashin' Party

We got to work on the cutest little girl's first birthday party which had a pool party theme.  It was our first pool party and it was nothing less than a splash!  The theme colors were pink and turquoise but the parents wanted it to be an all-around colorful event.

The initial project was the invitations of course.  Their only requests were that it was on a simple insert card and had her picture.  We made sure to incorporate the beach/pool theme and make Arya's picture the center of attention.  The invitations were printed on white cardstock and then mounted on fuchsia shimmer paper.  On the back of the invitations was the map which was immersed into a swimming pool design.   The invitations were placed in turquoise envelopes with a uniquely personalized guest and address label which were connected.  The side of the guest label had a pool shape and the back of the return label featured a chevron pattern.

With the invitations done, it was time to design the items for the special day.  We were asked to design water bottle labels, a center design for a wreath, party favor tags, multiple monogram designs to put on the sweets, food signs, and the birthday banner.

The water bottle labels were a real hit.  The parents decided to use the small water bottles to put the labels on which was smart and cost-effective.  The water bottle label featured a personalized sketch of the birthday girl, with beach ball, flip flops and lifesaver to surround her cute face.  There was also a creative spin on the Nutrition Facts and a bar code.

We designed a center circle for an umbrella wreath that was being made by the parents.  It was the cutest idea where they took the small drink umbrellas and created a colorful, beautiful wreath out of that and we placed a birthday design to go in the middle. So creative!

The party favor tags were one of our personal favorite items.  They got the noodles for swimming and made flowers out of them.  The noodles acted as the stem and then they cut out petals out of foam paper.  It was the most clever idea and everyone used it that day in the pool too.  Adorable!

Then we made a couple different designs for the dessert monograms to be placed everywhere around the sweets table.  Designs included the signature Arya sketch, flip flops, and beach ball.  Some were cut into circle shapes and others into scallop shapes to mix it up a bit.  They really added that personal touch to the desserts.

Shells used in this party favor were courtesy of www.favorsandfixings.com
Nonetheless, the food signs kept with the theme and had very clever names for the desserts... like fish kabobs and noodles rather than what they really were which were twizzlers and gummies on a stick to go with the theme.  We love how clever and creative our clients get!

Last but not least, was the birthday sign.  I always think of the birthday sign as setting the mood for the whole party.  The centerpiece and one of the first things that guests see when they walk in.  This was a very colorful banner with chevron and polka-dot patterns.  Fun and festive!

Here are some more amazing detailed pictures below from the party that our clients shared with us.  Thank you Kimberly and Mike for letting us be part of your little girl's special day and Happy Birthday Arya!

The Secret to a Party's Success

We all know how exhausting it can be to plan a party.  Whether you want a big party, an intimate one, lavish or simple, you are aiming to please the guest (s) of honor but also accommodate to your guests as well.  Firstly, it's about figuring out the location and what's on the menu. Secondly, it's about the decorations and entertainment.  Whichever ranks first to last on your list of priority, it all comes down to details, details, details.

Finding Nemo Second Birthday Party
We have one simple solution that will make a world of difference but not make you grow a bunch of white hairs at the end of the day.  Inevitably, you have to decide the location and menu yourself because no one knows your guests and you more than you.  Entertainment is a toss up depending on the occasion and logistics.  Then, there are decorations.  Decorations set the scene.  It's the first thing your guests see when they walk in and it's what they initially talk about and hopefully, if you work with us, what they are still talking about after the party.  And, most importantly, it's what gets captured on camera for everlasting memories when the party is over and done with.

This is where we come in.  If you don't have time to run around buying decorations, or can't find what you want, or don't even know what you want, we can handle it for you.  It's one thing to set the amazing food on a table with beautiful platters, but it's a completely different story when you add personal touches to it that tie the event, the guest of honor and the theme into it.

Mickey Mouse Monograms on Toothpicks
Two main items: banner and monogram toppers.  That's it.  Simple, affordable, and zero work on your part.  We can design a beautiful banner for you to hang that matches your theme.  But the real secret to a party's success are the monogram toppers.  A simple design or two or three on toothpicks to stick on any of your food items or decor and your party is instantly personalized.  You can even scatter them on the table, use them on party favors, etc, to add more to your decor.  But that's it!

Butterfly Kisses and Floral Wishes

We had such a great time planning this birthday party with one of the sweetest moms we know.  Her initial vision was to have butterflies and flowers and theme colors of purple, pink and green.  The rest she left it in our hands with full trust and we had so much fun putting it all together.

Firstly, and most importantly, was setting the scene and ambience with the invitation.  The invitation consisted of all the designs that would be incorporated into the party and enclosed in a pretty lavender envelope.  Personalized return labels were also made to match the invitation.

One of our most favorite projects were the banners she requested.  She wanted an "I Am 1" banner on her child's highchair which has really become a trend these days.

The second banner she wanted was a one through twelve month banner where she could feature a picture of every month of her daughter's first year.  LOVE!  Normally, parents decide to feature pictures on the invitation or on a poster, but this was a more stylish and fun way to display the pictures.  We glued on pink baby clips so that she could easily attach the pictures to the banner, compliments of www.favorsandfixings.com.

The third banner was, of course, the birthday banner!  Happy Birthday Kate!

One of the new trendy products we love are mason jars for the guests.  Our client chose the smaller ones and had us personalize labels for all the kids attending the event.  What a great touch to make every kid at the party feel special!

We also made personalized tags for the party favors that were placed in elegant Organza Pouches that can also be found at www.favorsandfixings.com.

A crowd pleaser was the personalized water bottles that featured Kate's name and design and also fun Nutrition Facts.

Our designs also included food signs made in folded tent style like place cards.

Thank you again for letting us be a part of your daughter's special day and hope you look forward to many more milestones for your Kate.
